these shoulder height walls were how plot lines were marked in housing areas in the capital city ... this is traditional maldivian brick work ... stones and a calcium carbonate mixture as motar ... most of these walls have come down now giving way to highrise apartments ... only a few remain ...

These walls are waning away fast eh. Btw, technically, they use coral... not stone, and slaked lime (ie. hydrated calcium oxide)... :P
