this is the capital of maldives ... its land area is 2 square kilometers ... its home to around 120 thousand people ... in 5000 or so buildings ... this is the smallest city in the world ... the smallest capital in the world ... this is how it looks through the window of a plane ... this is Malé ... and this photoblog is all about presenting to you this small city of ours ... we hope you enjoy the this photoblog and that the pictures we put up give you some idea about the urban city life of maldivians ...

In the presidential adress today the President mentioned that the government would be offering soft loans to those who are unable to built there homes... So in a near future there would be more buildings coming up...I wonder how much this coral island could take.

I visited Maldives last October, after 10/11 hours of plane.. I love them so much!!
